Maine man dies after single-car crash in Lyman

LYMAN, Maine (AP) Maine State Police say a motorist who crashed into a tree died died from his injuries at a hospital.

Troopers say 36-year-old Aaron Mitchell was driving alone when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck a tree late Thursday in Lyman. Mitchell, who’s from Hiram, died later at Maine Medical Center.

Troopers say Mitchell was wearing a seatbelt and that speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors.
