YORK, Maine (WGAN) Police in York say an Eliot man died after his kayak overturned in the water on Saturday.

Police say 67-year-old Thomas Ingle had been pulled from the water off Raynes Neck Road just after 4:00 p.m. Saturday. First responders attempted CPR but it appeared Ingle had died before he was pulled from the water.

Police say Ingle was unable to get to shore when his kayak overturned due to choppy waters.
