Maine man sentenced to 40 years for killing partner

PORTLAND, Maine (WGAN) A Portland man charged with killing a woman with whom he shared three children has been sentenced.

Anthony Leng pleaded guilty to murder and was sentenced to 40 years behind bars on Monday morning, according to our info partners at CBS 13 News. That was the maximum sentence under a plea agreement.

Leng acknowledged firing the shots that killed 36-year-old Sohka Khuon during an argument in January 2018. He told police he did so out of fear when she allegedly turned toward him with a knife.
