Maine officials paid tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday.

Democratic Gov. Janet Mills and Independent U.S. Sen. Angus King urged urged people to recommit themselves to realizing King’s dream.

Mainers around the state honored Dr. King as well.

The traditional MLK events in Maine’s largest city went virtual due to the pandemic.

The Portland Chapter of the NAACP held events throughout the day, all of which were viewed remotely.
