Maine police make arrest in decades old cold murder case

BELFAST, Maine (AP) Prosecutors in Maine have indicted a man on a murder charge in the death of a woman who was found beaten to death in 1984.

Sixty-three-year-old Dorothea Burke was last seen on June 23, 1984, at a Bucksport bar. Her body was found several days later by construction workers.

The Bangor Daily News reports police have charged Kirt Damon Sr. with the murder. He was expected to be arraigned on Wednesday.
