Maine public safety officials report murder-suicide in Hiram

Police responded to a murder-suicide in Hiram Wednesday afternoon.

The Maine Dept. of Public Safety said Friday that state troopers responded to a disturbance complaint at a home on Clemons Cove and found two bodies outside the home.

The bodies were identified as Stephanie Ranieri, 43, and Chad Adams, 48, who were previously in a relationship.

The medical examiner ruled the woman’s death a homicide and the man’s death a suicide.

No further details about the case were provided.

An investigation is ongoing.
