Officials from Maine are holding a public meeting about the need to replace a nearly century-old bridge that links the far northern part of the state with New Brunswick.

The Maine Department of Transportation is holding the meeting on Thursday about the Madawaska-Edmundston International Bridge.

The department said the meeting will provide a chance for the public to ask questions about the project and comment on it to the design and environmental teams.
