Investigators say an Oxford County man who died on Saturday was killed by a projectile from a firework.

Maine State Police say 41-year-old Joseph Hennessey of South Paris died at a private fireworks display in Roxbury on Saturday evening.

Initial findings from an autopsy found that a projectile from a mini-cannon that went off during the display struck and killed Hennessey.

The State Police Major Crimes Unit is still investigating.
