Maine State Police recover guns, drugs and a cannon from residence of wanted man


Police say three people were arrested in connection with a search for a wanted man Liberty on Thursday.

Maine State Police traveled to the home on School Ridge Road to locate a wanted man, 27-year-old Cole Libby, who lived at the residence.

Police say Libby was in possession of 50 grams of fentanyl, as well as firearms, drug scales, and about $8,500 in suspected drug proceeds.

28-year-old Felichia Glidden and 56-year-old Randall Smith, both from Liberty, were also found with drugs and taken into custody. Police say they’re convicted felons.

Police also uncovered high-value items from commercial thefts, including a Can-Am Side by Side off-road vehicle and a cannon.

Libby, Glidden and Smith were taken to Waldo County Jail and were out on bail Friday.

Police say the investigation is ongoing. They’re asking anyone who knows anything about the cannon or its owner to give them a call.
