Maine truck driver crashes twice in same day, police say

A Mainer reportedly crashed his tractor-trailer truck twice on the same day.

The 63-year-old driver from Kittery crashed into a guardrail around 11 p.m. Tuesday on Route 127 in Hopkinton, New Hampshire.

It caused significant damage to both the guardrail and the truck.

Police believe driver fatigue and inattention were factors in the crash.

Police say the driver had already hit another tractor-trailer earlier in the evening.

According to CBS 13, the tractor-trailer unit was owned by Western Express, Inc. of Nashville, Tennessee.

Both the driver and truck were placed out of service.
