Maine Unemployment Down Slightly Again in November

AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) Maine’s unemployment rate fell slightly in November.

The Maine Department of Labor says the preliminary seasonally adjusted unemployment rate of 3.3 percent in November was down 0.2 percentage points from October. It was also slightly down from 3.8 percent a year ago.

Maine’s unemployment rate was lower than the national rate of 4.1 percent. That number was unchanged from October and down from 4.6 percent a year ago.

The Maine Labor Department says the preliminary nonfarm payroll jobs estimate was up 2,100 from a year ago, to 619,200.
