Police have made an arrest in connection with the death of a 1-year-old boy in Aroostook County that happened in March.

Maine Public Safety Spokesperson Shannon Moss say first responders were called to a home on 311 Center Road in Easton on March 19 for a report of an unresponsive child.

The infant boy was pronounced dead at the hospital. His death was later ruled a homicide by the Chief Medical Examiner.

28-year-old Mariah Dobbins was indicted by a grand jury on July 14 on one count of manslaughter. She was taken to the Aroostook County Jail with her arraignment set for September 14.

She’s being held on $10,000 cash bail or $100,000 surety.

No other details about the case, including the relationship between Dobbins and the boy, were available Friday.
