Maine woman seriously injured in head-on crash with school bus in Westbrook

A Raymond woman suffered serious injuries after a head-on crash with a school bus in Westbrook Thursday morning.

The crash shut down part of Route 302 near the Westbrook-Windham town line around 8:30 a.m.

The bus driver was the only person on the bus and was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The superintendent says the bus driver was shaken up but was doing okay.

The other driver, a 25-year-old Raymond woman, was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland with serious injuries.

Police said she appeared to strike the bus after crossing the centerline.
