A Lewiston woman accused of murdering a 90-year-old man in Litchfield pleaded guilty to manslaughter in court on Tuesday as part of a plea deal.
Shari Allimah was initially charged with intentional, depraved indifference murder in the death of Gerard Marin in May of 2024.
She was charged several days after Marin’s body was found and was already in the Androscoggin County Jail on unrelated charges.
Police say Allimah told them she and Marin had a sexual relationship, and previously said that if she killed him, she doesn’t remember.
Allimah’s suggested sentence is 22 years.
She’ll be sentenced on Monday.
