Hundreds of Mainers marched through the streets of Portland on Saturday for the “People’s March”

The nationally organized march started in 2017 as Donald Trump took office for his first term.

At the march, protestors held up signs calling for women’s equality and abortion access.

Some protestors held up signs from the election that supported Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.

CBS 13 spoke to protestors at the march who said that after the outcome of the most recent election, they are ready to push back against the Republican Party’s policies.

Planned parenthood representatives also participated in Saturday’s march.

Trumps views on abortion have been inconsistent over the last few months, however he has said he will leave the question of abortion up to the states.
