CLIFTON, Maine (AP) A Maine judge has ordered that a man charged in the killing of his girlfriend be held without bail pending a hearing.

Maine State Police say they charged 37-year-old Dwight Osgood Jr. with murder Tuesday in the death of 35-year-old Kary Dill. WABI-TV reports Osgood was in court Wednesday for a probable cause hearing.

Dill was found shot to death in the couple’s home in Clifton Monday morning. Osgood was arrested Tuesday afternoon. Officials say the two lived together for four years.

Her body has been sent to the medical examiner’s office in Augusta for an autopsy that began on Monday.

Osgood did not enter a plea.
