Maine Forest Rangers say one man is responsible for setting over 20 roadside fires in Maine.

Forest Rangers and the State Fire Marshal’s Office said a months-long investigation into the fires led them to a 60-year-old man who admitted to starting them.

The man was charged with one count of arson in connection with a fire on Murch Road in Baldwin on Friday, but he’s suspected of setting over 20 fires in the Standish, Naples, Buxton, Sebago and Porter areas.

According to CBS 13 news, Maine Forest Rangers have investigated 60 woodland arson fires so far this year, burning 12.5 acres.
