Man Arrested for OUI After Waterboro Crash

WATERBORO, Maine (WGAN)  A Waterboro man has been charged with OUI after a crash Sunday.

The York County Sheriff’s Office says around 6 p.m. Sunday, they responded to a single-vehicle crash on Middle Road.  A passerby reported a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro had crashed into the woods.

When deputies arrived, they could not find the owner of the car.  Police determined the owner to be John Klein and that he lived nearby.

Before deputies could go to the residence, the 57-year-old Klein returned to the scene and admitted he had been driving.  Klein was giving a breath test which showed his blood alcohol level to be at .13, well over the legal limit.

Klein was taken to the hospital where he was treated and released before being taken to York County Jail.

Klein posted a $300 bail and was released with a court date of Jan. 23, 2018.
