AUBURN, Maine (AP)   A Maine man has been charged with manslaughter in connection with a crash that killed a motorcyclist.

The Sun Journal reports 34-year-old Steven Primavera was arrested Wednesday and indicted by a grand jury in the death of 54-year-old Reginald Clement.

Witnesses told authorities Primavera’s car drifted into an oncoming lane in Auburn in September 2017, causing Clement and another motorcyclist to crash into each other.

Primavera’s vehicle then struck Clement’s motorcycle and knocked the man into the street. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

Police say Primavera did not brake before crashing into Clement’s motorcycle.

Primavera was released on bail. It’s not known if he has an attorney, and a phone number for him could not be located.
