Man Charged Following Domestic Disturbance in Parsonsfield

PARSONSFIELD, Maine (WGAN)  The York County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man on multiple charges after a domestic disturbance on Tuesday.

Police say around 4 p.m. on Oct. 2, sheriff’s deputies were called to North Road for a disturbance.  The caller reported a physical altercation between a male and female on the side of the road.

Police say when they got there, they found an injured female and 24-year-old Elliot Delgado-Acevedo.

Police say Delgado-Acevedo became “combative” with deputies and was taken into custody, continuing his aggression in the cruiser by kicking the interior.

Police say their investigation revealed he had smashed the victim’s cellphone as well as the windshield on her mother’s vehicle.  He also had illegal drugs on him.

Police have charged Delgado-Acevedo with two counts of criminal mischief, resisting arrest or detention and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.  His bail was set at $500 cash.

Police say he remains in jail after an arraignment on Wednesday and has a court date in January.
