Man charged in connection with armed robbery in York

YORK, Maine (WGAN) A man accused of robbing a gas station in York has been found and charged.

Police say 23-year-old Michael Marble is charged in an armed robbery reported at Mr. Mike Mobil Station on Sunday. They say he demanded cash while holding a gun, then fled the scene.

Police were unable to locate him following a search of the area. He was later found at York County Jail where he was already being held on unrelated charges on Wednesday. He confessed to the robbery.

Marble was identified as a transient, formerly of New Sharon.

His bail was set at $15,000.

Police are still investigating the robbery and asking anyone with information to give them a call.
