Man charged with driving to endanger after hit-and-run in Topsham parking lot

A Lisbon man is accused of speeding up before hitting a woman in the Market Basket parking lot in Topsham on Sunday.

A 72-year-old Lisbon woman was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland with serious injuries after she was found lying on the ground in a crosswalk.

The driver fled the scene, with officers later tracking the vehicle down on Route 1 in Brunswick.

The suspect, 46-year-old Jeremy Hunter, was taken to Two Bridges Jail and faces multiple charges including aggravated assault and driving to endanger.
