A man is charged with murder after allegedly killing his stepson in Oxford County.

Police responded just before 1 p.m. Saturday to a report of a shooting at a home on Intervale Ave. in Mexico.

Police found the body of Nicholas Trynor, 27, inside the home.

After collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses, Maine State Police arrested the victim’s stepfather on Sunday.

He was identified Thomas Tellier.

The 52-year-old Tellier was taken to the Oxford County Jail in South Paris, were he remained on Sunday.

A press release issued Sunday by the Maine Dept. of Public Safety provided no further information about the shooting.
