Man Dies From Injuries Suffered in Lyman Car Crash

LYMAN, Maine (AP) Police in Maine say a man lost control of his car and died in a crash in the town of Lyman.

Police say 55-year-old Douglas Petersen lost control of the car in the early morning of Sept. 11 while driving on Route 111. They say the car left the road, skidded a short distance and overturned.

Petersen was alone in the car at the time of the crash. He was transferred to a hospital for his injuries. Police say he died late in the afternoon of Sept. 14. They say police are still unaware why he lost control of the vehicle.
