Man dies in Harrison snowmobile crash

A Naples man is dead after a snowmobile accident Saturday morning.

Per the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, the crash happened near Cape Monday Road in Harrison.

46-year-old Daniel Hammond veered into trees while riding his Ski-Doo.

According to our info partners at CBS 13 News, authorities say Hammond was initially conscious after the crash, but was pronounced dead 20 minutes later.

He was wearing a helmet.
