Man Dies in Snowmobile Accident Thursday

ROXBURY, Maine (WGAN)  Maine Game wardens say an Andover man has died after a snowmobile crash in Roxbury Thursday night.

Wardens say 47-year-old Gregory Simmons lost control of the machine on a trail and was ejected from the vehicle around 9 p.m. on Thursday.

Wardens believe Simmons had been at a local restaurant eating dinner prior to the accident and was on his way home when the crash happened.  Wardens say speed appears to be a contributing factor.

Simmons had been wearing a helmet.

This is the second fatal snowmobile crash this year.
