A standoff in the town of Industry came to an end with the arrest of the suspect Wednesday afternoon.

Deputies responded to a home on Taylor Road around 9:40 a.m. for a report of a woman who had been assaulted.

Police said 57-year-old Bradford Luker fired a gun inside the home, but the woman, who was able to escape safely, was not shot at.

Deputies say Luker then barricaded himself inside the home but was taken into custody while trying to run toward Clearwater Lake around 2 p.m.

Authorities were waiting for Luker to be medically cleared at a local hospital before charging him with domestic violence assault and reckless conduct.
