Man Found Dead in Cambridge House Fire

A Maine man is dead after being found inside his home in Cambridge during a fire on Monday evening.

The Maine Department of Safety says the man was found in his residence on Andrew Ham Road just after 5 p.m.

Officers believe the man is 75-year-old Stuart Howe.

His body has been sent to the Maine medical examiner’s office where an autopsy will be performed.

Officers say heavy construction equipment had to be brought in to help bring down the flames in the fire.

The cause  is under investigation.
