Man Jailed for Chasing People with Hockey Stick, Vehicle in York County

A 64-year-old man is in the York County Jail after police say he chased and threatened people with a hockey stick and his vehicle at a store in Lyman Saturday afternoon.

Deputies say they arrested Randy Marcotte during a traffic stop after he left the scene at 7 Corner’s Store located at 1486 Alfred Road.

They say they recovered the hockey stick he had been threatening people with during a search of his vehicle, as well as two knives, a makeshift club, a hatchet, and a set of num-chuks.

Marcotte faces charges of Criminal Threatening with a Dangerous Weapon, violating his conditions of release, and the misdemeanor crime of Driving to Endanger.
Deputies say Marcotte had active bail conditions requiring him not to commit any new crimes or possess any dangerous weapons. He’s being held without bail because of his violation of those conditions, and is expected to appear in court Monday.
