Police in northern Maine fatally shot a man during an armed confrontation early Wednesday.

The Bangor Daily News writes that police responded to a 911 call around 3:00 a.m. Wednesday in Mars Hill. What followed was an armed confrontation outside of a home on Scovil Street.
