BUXTON, Maine (WGAN) Officials have identified the victim in a deadly fire early Sunday morning in Buxton.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office said investigators found the body of 52-year-old Arthur Follis in a bedroom inside a home on Mary Jane Road.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined the man died from smoke inhalation.

Investigators say they’ve been unable to determine the cause of the fire because the damage to the home was so extensive.

The Buxton fire and police departments responded to the blaze, which was reported just before 5 a.m. Sunday.
