A Maine man who was charged with murder when he was 16 years old has been sentenced to 25 years behind bars.

Atilio Delgado of Brooks, who is now 20 years old, was sentenced Tuesday for the fatal shooting of 49-year-old James Cluney in May of 2022.

Court documents show Delgado used an illegal ghost gun to shoot Cluney, who had gotten in an argument with Delgado’s brother.

Delgado pleaded guilty to murder on Tuesday as part of a plea deal.
