Man sought for questioning after deadly crash in Clinton involving U-Haul van

Police say they’re searching for a man wanted for questioning following a deadly crash on I-95 in Clinton.

Maine State Police say a U-Haul rental van left the northbound lane on I-95 Tuesday morning, going airborne and hitting a tree.

A passenger was critically injured and rushed to the hospital where they died.

A man who fled from the crash was thought to be in the area of Hinckley and Bellsqueeze Roads.

The man is described as wearing a black hoodie carrying a backpack and is believed to have facial injuries.

Anyone who may have seen the man is asked not to approach but to call 911 immediately.
