Man struck by car in Portland dies from injuries; police seeking driver

Police in Portland are trying to identify the driver in a fatal hit-and-run in December.

Police say 41-year-old Aron Werman of Portland was trying to cross Brighton Ave at Taft Ave when he was struck by a car. The crash happened around 8:40 p.m. on December 14.

The driver of the car fled the scene and was last seen heading inbound on Brighton Ave. The car is described as a twilight blue, 2012-2014 Honda CRV and should have significant front end damage.

Police learned Sunday that Werman died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has information to contact them.
