PORTLAND, Maine – (WGAN) – A few days ago, Governor Paul LePage and President Donald Trump ordered that the U-S and state flags be lowered to half staff in memory of the massacre victims in Pittsburgh.

A quick check by WGAN NEWS has shown only a few businesses, and even state and community facilities, have complied with the decree.

Most private businesses have kept their flags at full staff.

Even some state offices have done the same.

That includes the north and southbound rest areas on the turnpike in Kennebunk. They have kept their flags at full staff.
