SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine (WGAN) More and more mass vaccination sites are opening around Maine as the state’s vaccine supply continues to increase. Maine’s largest city is set to open a high-volume clinic at the Portland Expo on Tuesday.

Northern Light Mercy Hospital is working with the city and state to launch the clinic.

The state said Maine would be seeing a bump in doses this week in its shipment of Moderna and Pfizer vaccines.

Maine will receive it’s first shipment of the new Johnson & Johnson vaccine this week as well.

The increase in vaccine doses comes as Maine prepares to expand eligibility to people 60 and older beginning Wednesday.
