Massachusetts man facing drug charges, arrested in Augusta

The Augusta Police department recovered nearly 30 grams of cocaine in a Massachusetts man’s hotel room Saturday.

Police responded to the Senator Inn on Western Avenue around 11:30 a.m. after a request for a welfare check of an occupant of the hotel came in.

Amidst the investigation, police arrested Kevin MacLellan, 25, of Stoughton, Massachusetts after finding 28 grams of cocaine, as well as pills of Adderall and Clonazepam.

MacLellan is being charges with two counts of unlawful trafficking in Schedule W drugs. Bail has been set at $80,000.
