Massachusetts Woman Arrested in Topsham on Drug Charges

TOPSHAM, Maine (WGAN) A woman from Massachusetts is under arrest for selling fentanyl and crack cocaine, according to Maine’s Drug Enforcment Agency.

39-year-old Jacqueline Moreno of Weymouth, Massachusetts was arrested in the parking lot of the Topsham Fair Mall around 9 P.M. Thursday when she delivered 100 grams of fentanyl and 70 grams of crack cocaine to an undercover agent. She was charged with Aggravated Trafficking in Schedule W Drugs. The estimated street value of the drugs seized is $24,000.

Moreno’s arrest was part of an ongoing investigation by the MDEA into the source of drugs that were being brought in from Massachusetts and distributed in Brunswick and Sagadahoc County.

Moreno is being held at Two Bridges Regional Jail on $10,000 cash bail. Police say more arrests are likely.
