MILLINOCKET, Maine (AP) The Millinocket Town Council has voted unanimously to approve a settlement with a former chief police deputy who filed a harassment complaint against the former chief.

The Bangor Daily News reports that the details of the agreement with Janet Theriault have not yet been made public.

The council says Theriault has been on administrative leave since last February and has a case with the Maine Human Rights Commission related to a harassment complaint filed against former Police Chief Craig Worster. This is the second settlement reached with a former officer since Worster became police chief in 2019.
