A missing 83-year-old hunter from Maine was found in the woods of Milton, New Hampshire over the weekend.

New Hampshire Fish and Game says they got a report around Saturday around 10:30 p.m. about a missing hunter from Lebanon, Maine.

Following a search, the man was found Sunday around 1:30 a.m. a short distance from his truck on Branch Hill Rd. in Milton, New Hampshire.

As it got dark Saturday evening, he climbed down his tree stand and started walking back to his vehicle.

He says he got lost and became disoriented after taking a shortcut through the woods.

Wardens say the man was not hurt, just tired and cold.
