Missing York man found dead


YORK, Maine (WGAN) York police have found the body of a missing 76-year-old man.

Jerry Allen had last been seen at the York American Legion on Route 1 around 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Police say his body was found around 2 p.m. Thursday.

Investigators believe he left his home on foot sometime during the daylight hours, and police say his car and personal belongings were left in his house.

A cause of death has not been released.

The investigation is ongoing.
