Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries after multi-vehicle crash in Casco


A motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries in a 3-car crash in Casco.

Cumberland County Sheriff Kevin Joyce says the crash happened on Route 302 near Lakewood Road around 4 p.m. Thursday.

21-year-old Kevin Lavoie of Windham crashed his motorcycle into the back of another vehicle. The impact forced him into another lane where he struck a second vehicle.

The driver of that vehicle suffered minor injuries.

Lavoie, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to Maine Medical Center by Life Flight.

Police believe speed is a factor in the crash.
