Mount Desert Island Man Found Safe in Presque Isle

State police say a man who was reported missing Saturday from Mount Desert Island has been located.

According to Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland, 86-year-old Thornton Jenkins was found in Presque Isle after he ran out of gas while doing errands.

Jenkins has no cell phone and early dementia. His family went to take him back home Saturday night.
