A fire broke out at a Presumpscot Street warehouse early Friday morning around 2 a.m.

Capt. John Brennan from the Portland Fire Department reported that there was no one in the building at the time of the fire and no one was injured.

Falmouth and Westbrook fire departments assisted in taming the fire after it had spread to the two-story section of the warehouse. The one-story section, home to multiple businesses, is a total loss, while the two-story section is in very poor condition.

Investigators are working to determine what the cause of the fire was.
