Naples man, 20, flown to hospital after dirt bike accident

A 20-year-old Naples man was taken by LifeFlight to a local hospital after his dirt bike collided with a pickup truck Thursday afternoon.

According to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred as the driver of the pickup was making a left hand turn onto Maplewood Road from Songo School Road.

The dirt bike operated by Joshua Cavallaro slammed into the passenger side of the truck.

Cavallaro was not wearing a helmet.

His bike went under the truck and was dragged along the roadway.

Robert Mason, 80, of Naples was reportedly driving the pickup.

In their press release, the sheriff’s office did not mention any possible injuries suffered by Mason.

The accident remains under investigation.
