A New York man is in custody on accusations that he killed a Massachusetts man in Maine back in March.

Maine State Police say 38-year-old Kareem Quattlebaum of New York was arrested in the Bronx on Wednesday by the FBI for the murder of 28-year-old Jaquan Humphries of Mattapan, Massachusetts.

Humphries was shot and killed at 531 Madawaska Road in Palmyra on March 12.

Quattlebaum will be held at the Rikers Island prison in New York until he can be returned to Maine.

Maine State Police say the investigation is ongoing.
