No Injuries in Chaotic Multi-Vehicle Crash, Fire on I-295

Yarmouth Fire and Rescue

There are no injuries after a chaotic multi-vehicle crash on northbound I-295 in Yarmouth this morning.

Troopers say a vehicle crashed into the center median at about 7 am, and two drivers then stopped in the median to assist driver who’d crashed.

They say another vehicle traveling northbound then hit the two stopped vehicles and burst into flames while pushing one of stopped vehicles into the original vehicle in the median.

All individuals involved were able to exit their vehicles safely, and no injuries were reported.

Troopers say they worked the scene until it was cleared and are still investigating the incident.
