No one injured after ambulance falls in snowy ditch in New Gloucester

A patient being transported in an ambulance that fell into a ditch in New Gloucester on Wednesday was not hurt.

It happened around 9:30 on Lewiston Road, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office. The ambulance pulled over, but fell into the ditch when the snow underneath it collapsed.

That patient was placed into a different ambulance and taken to Maine Medical Center.

Two EMS healthcare providers on board were not seriously injured, but were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
