GRAY, Maine (WGAN)  A man involved in a fatal crash will not face charges.

The Cumberland County District Attorney announced Thursday that Jay Westra would not be charged in connection with the fatal crash on April 27 that killed 40-year-old Samantha Rinaldi.

Police had arrested the 58-year-old Westra for OUI, but the Cumberland County D.A. says his blood alcohol content was just .047, below the legal limit of .08.

The D.A.’s office also says the investigation did not reveal evidence of criminal negligence or recklessness to support criminal charges.
