Numerous Felony Charges After Accusations of Domestic Assault in Bangor

A 31-year-old Hermon man faces felony charges after being accused of domestic violence against a woman in Bangor Sunday night.

Bangor Police say they were called to a residence on Broad Street at 10:10 pm on a report of domestic violence.

They say an investigation determined that Garrett Foss had violently assaulted a woman there and threatened her with a firearm.

Foss now faces three felony charges, including Domestic Violence Aggravated Assault.

Officers say Foss is prohibited from having a firearm because of prior convictions.

He faces the following charges.

-Domestic Violence Aggravated Assault, Class B
-Domestic Violence, Criminal Threatening with priors and with a Dangerous, Class B
-Criminal Restraint, Class D
-Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person, Class B
-Violating Conditions of Release, Class E

Class B crimes in Maine are felonies, which carry a maximum of 10 years in prison and up to a $20,000 fine.
